  Overall there is alot i like about McDowell Peds. The convenience they are very close to where i live. The separate waiting rooms for sick kids versus well check kids. Its set up, clean and decorated like i feel a kids doctors office should be. The front end nurses who check you in/out and take your calls are always very helpful and pleasant. I have now had visits with all the doctors and of course have my own preferences with Dr. Olson, and Angela they seem to be more attentive and tend to actually listen to your concerns as a parent and my daughter does best with them. I have only had Dr. Morris once and liked her. Dr. Ben-Davies tends to be a little more dry and stiff but i haven't had any problems with my kids seeing her. Dr. Kalter however my kids wont see anymore i feel that he is very dismissive and he also has a tendency to talk down to the kids and parents and that just rubs me the wrong way, the nurse he typically works with has a similar personality so that makes it even worse. I have had a few issues with nurses in the back of the house because i have young children and as most of you parents know there are often times they dont want to do what you want them to do, as well as the fact that they can be afraid of new things. Both my kids have had some traumatic experiences last year with hospitals (broken arm, xrays, blood work) but that they have attributed to Doctors offices so my kids, my daughter especially, often get scared of new things thinking its going to hurt or they are going to give her a shot or take her blood. Getting mad at my 3 year old because she gets upset and talking to her like you would an adult you dislike to me is completely unacceptable and if you cant deal with that better PLEASE GET OUT OF PEDIATRICS.
